I haven't seen a movie lately. Can you people give me some reviews so I can make an informed decision? I hear that "Get Smart" wasn't too bad.

Parry:
In one scene of the movie, a guy with a dolly(handtruck} full of Budweiser runs over Steve Carell's foot. You can see the Budweiser logo on the screen for about 1/4 second. Anheuser Busch pays for that product placement and in doing so, they get an advanced screening as a pat-on-the-back. And since my old roommate works for AB marketing, I sometimes get some sweet invites and they always include free beer.

I rented a documentary called The Rainbow Man/John 3:16 from the library last week. I recommend it.

A theater here in Simi Valley is playing older movies on Wednesday nights for $6. Ghostbusters is next week. They are also playing Labyrinth and Back to the Future later this month.

@Principal Blackman
How do you get invited to a movie with free beer? That sounds too good to be true.

I posted a review of Get Smart back on the Get Smart FTATS page. Also, I saw the Hulk movie last week and I thought it was done very well. I am waiting for The Dark Knight now. I hope it is as good as I think it should be.

saw wall-e today, interesting movie that had me a little bored at times but the overall themes / unanswered questions are quite thought-provoking. i walked in thinking it would be a typical pixar comedy but is actually fairly deep, without much laughs but a lot of thought...

Get Smart? More like Is Stupid. I saw Wanted and you get to see Angelina Jolie's butt crack. And a fat woman eat donuts. That's all I remember.

I met a girl that wanted to see Wall-E or Wanted... should I marry her immediately?

I heard "Get Smart" wasn't as bad as "Love Guru", but still not good. And I was going to see that new Hulk movie, but Edward Norton is smart and didn't like the final cut. I'm basically waiting for "Step Brothers", "Pineapple Express", "Tropic Thunder", and "Zack and Miri Make a Porno" (which is a looong way off}.

Oh, "The Foot Fist Way" was really funny, but you'll probably have to find a little bit less mainstream theater. And I want to see "The Promotion", but have no clue if its good or not.
